TopInformation used for technological and statistical purposes

BAnQ uses Google Analytics, a website analysis and Web audience measurement tool.

Google Analytics relies on cookies to collect information concerning your navigation or browsing on this site which it then stores on  servers located primarily in the United States. Google may transmit this information to third parties if legally required to do so, or if these third parties process the data on its behalf.

The information collected by the tool can include, for example, which pages you consult, the date, time, duration and frequency of your visits and the links you click. The type of operating system and the language used on your computer, along with the name of your Internet service provider and your approximate geographical position (only the region), are also part of the data collected. While your IP address is also recorded, it is anonymized (truncated) to ensure the confidentiality of the information that concerns you; the anonymization of an IP address prevents a web surfer from being identified by means of that address.

Google only uses the information collected to produce statistics and reports on navigation on this site, which enables BAnQ to improve the electronic and online services that it provides to the public. Google will in no way associate or relate the information collected on this site with any other data that it stores.

If you wish, you may prevent Google from recording information concerning your navigation by installing on your computer the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser.

TopIf you transmit personal information to us

If you send us personal information voluntarily by email or on an electronic form, we use only the information required to answer your message and follow up on your request. Electronic messages are subject to the same confidentiality measures as regular mail.

The personal information transmitted will never be used to draw up or prepare user profiles, and will not be communicated, shared, exchanged or transmitted to a third party, unless there is a legal constraint, explicit consent or an agreement duly approved in accordance with the Act respecting access.

In keeping with the Act respecting Access to documents held by public bodies and the Protection of personal information, if we ask you to provide personal information, you will be informed beforehand of the following elements:

  • the name and address of the public body on behalf of which the information is collected
  • the intended use of the information
  • the categories of people who will have access to the information
  • the mandatory or optional nature of the request
